THERE WAS NO SNIPER

by Bob Walsh

The sniper attack in front of the Sheriff's Station in Lancaster, CA reported by rookie deputy Angel Reynoso was in fact a hoax. The deputy made a hole in his uniform shirt with his knife and reported that the bullet bounced off his body armor, bumped his shoulder and took off to parts unknown leaving him uninjured.

How anybody could think this story would hold up under any sort of scrutiny is totally beyond me.

Deputy Reynoso is now relieved of duty. He will almost certainly be both fired and prosecuted. Clearly the young man has some issues that did not surface in the academy or during his psych eval. Damn shame. He is now ass-out when it comes to any job that requires any sort of personal integrity. I hope he's got a fallback position, he is gonna need it.

EDITOR'S NOTE: It is believed he made up this story because he had received several unsatisfactory ratings.

Bumped his shoulder? Bullets don't bump. Law enforcement is well to be rid of him. Idiot.

They must be hard up for Hispanic deputies in LA. One would think that a rookie deputy (age 21) would not have gotten to the point where he did with several unsatisfactory performance reports otherwise.
