Yes,
the formerly great state of California has approved the use of the
European two-tone siren on police vehicles, but only under very specific
circumstances. the idea is that police vehicles will be allowed to use
this siren to attract attention while driving through areas under
evacuation order, due to things like imminent flood, fire coming over
the hill or a zombie apocalypse.

was one of the last states to approve blue lights on police vehicles
and is now possibly among the first to approve the two-tone siren. Or
maybe not possibly among the first. I actually have no idea how many
other states may have approved it. Nor do I really care. I guess I am
just shallow.
