At
the moment the NorCal snow pack is a tad over 250% of normal, with a
tad over 70% of normal total yearly snowfall on the ground right now.
That doesn't mean the drought is over but it means things are looking
decent as several more storms are due to roll in over the next few
days.  All the highway passes from Nevada to California have been closed
off and on for the last couple of days, both due to snow and chain
reaction accidents from idiots who don't know how to drive in the snow.
That, plus widespread power failures are making things really
interesting.  Gas pumps don't work without power and very few gas
stations have emergency generators.  I like the snow, but I prefer going
to the snow rather than having it come to me.
