This
is a sample of the 700+ new laws that the formerly great state of
California is dumping on it's citizens and residents in about three
days.
AB-1475 substantially restricts the cops ability to release mugshots of criminal suspect on social media.
AB-974
requires that persons who ride horses on paved roads must wear a helmet
if they are under the age of 18.  Anyone riding at night must wear
reflective clothing or have a tail light on their horse.  Really.
AB-37 will enshrine permanent vote by mail balloting in CA.
A
new law requires that people who supply Emotional Support Animals
notify the purchaser in writing that these animals are not entitled to
the same treatment as guide dogs and service animals.  It also places
restrictions on doctors who recommend emotional support animals.  Among
those requirements is that the doctor must have had a professional
relationship of more than 30 days with the patient before making the
recommendation.
AB-825 requires that companies who hold genetic data information must report data breaches to theircustomers.
AB-1033 requires that employers offer unpaid leave under the Family Rights Act to care for parents-in-law.
AB-286 makes it illegal for food delivery companies to appropriate tips intended for the drivers.
