Assuming the people on the various firearms forums I follow have it
right the Canadian government has just banned the sale of handguns,
including the further transfer of existing legally owned handguns,
within Canada. It seems that the mere presence of handguns causes
violent crime. Just thought you might want to know that you should stay
away from Canadians. They are dangerous and stupid. If they happen to
have a gun laying around they might just pick it up and shoot you
because they are bored and having nothing else to do unless there is a
curling match or hockey game on TV.

I met many Canadians while vacationing in Hawaii. After speaking with them on a couple of occasions, I avoided them. They know everything. Just ask them.
It's actually simply about "control."
The 2nd amendment is in the way, and they don't like that.
