Yellow Freight is huge.  They received a $700 million
pandemic loan from the government 3 years ago but by the time you read
this they will have probably shut down.  Not cut back.  Shut down.
This
will mean 30,000 jobs will be gone.  Some of those people will find
work elsewhere.  Freight still needs to move.  However it seems likely
that the government will take it in the shorts for a significant chunk
of principle and interest to the tune of about $730 million.  Yellow
Freight has sought help from the Harris-Biden administration in their
dealing with the Teamsters Union.  So far Joe and Kamala have been too
busy doing other really important shit.
The
company directed employees take their personal belongings and tools
kept at the terminals home with them on Friday so they would not
necessarily be considered company property come the shutdown.
