WAS THE SHERIFF TALKING ABOUT ROACH LIMBURGER?

"When you look at unbalanced people, how they respond to the vitriol that comes out of certain mouths about tearing down the government. The anger, the hatred, the bigotry that goes on in this country is getting to be outrageous. And unfortunately, Arizona I think has become sort of the capital. We have become the mecca for prejudice and bigotry."

That’s what Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik said about the shooting rampage in Tucson on Saturday during which six people were killed and Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and 13 others were wounded. He also cast much of the blame for the anger, hatred and paranoia on the vitriolic anti-government rhetoric of radio and TV personalities. Who was the sheriff talking about? Sounds to me like it was Roach Limburger and his ilk.

The man's name is Limbaugh, Howie.
The childish delight you take in butchuring his name only makes you look silly and weakens your credibility.

Here's an article on the subject that isn't childish or silly. It's short. You might like to take a minute to read it:

Howard Kurtz: ‘There are crazy people out there, but we can’t all be responsible for what they do’
By Molly Stark Dean on January 10, 2011 12:42 PM
Shortly after the horrific shooting in Tuson, Ariz. on Saturday, the fingers started pointing at who was to blame for the shooting, and “The Daily Beast“‘s Howard Kurtz wanted to make it clear who was to blame:

This isn’t about a nearly year-old Sarah Palin map; it’s about a lone nutjob who doesn’t value human life. It would be nice if we briefly put aside partisan differences and came together with sympathy and support for Gabby Giffords and the other victims, rather than opening rhetorical fire ourselves.

As congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was struggling for her life, as some news organizations claimed she was dead, as the details of the event were still trickling in, the news media tried to blame everybody and anybody — barring the actual suspect — in a move towards politicizing the event.

More on who really is to blame after the jump…

Yesterday, Kurtz wrote about the right-wing, who were put on the defensive after the fingers started pointing to Palin’s cross-hair target map, Glenn Beck‘s chalkboard, and Rush Limbaugh‘s microphone — among other conservative targets:

I have little doubt that some Fox News and MSNBC commentators will spend much of the week sniping at each other over the political aspects of this tragedy, even as Gabby Giffords fights for her life.

“The Daily Beast” writer continued with another key issue of the Giffords shooting: reporting the death of the congresswoman. “The media let us down this past weekend,” Kurtz wrote.

On CNN’s “Reliable Sources” yesterday, Kurtz mentioned MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann‘s “stinging” special comment he made on the night of the event. Kurtz said “there’s always somebody you can blame for violent imagery.” “In my view,” Kurtz continued, “It would be nice if everybody dialed it back and toned it down just a little bit.”

Kurtz emphasized who was to blame yet again: “There are crazy people out there, but we can’t all be responsible for what they do.”

Centurion, you say I am childish and look silly calling Limbaugh 'Roach Limburger.' I do so because to me he is a roach that smells like Limburger cheese.

I have absolutely no respect for a man who either gets many of his 'facts' wrong or at best misinterprets them. I get to hear him everytime I'm in my truck because he is on both of the radio stations I usually listen to.

Every day Roach has been demonizing Barack Obama. As you know, I do not have much use for our president either, but I do not think he is the ogre Roach paints him to be every single day of the week. And Michelle Obama can't even sneezae without that pompous ass making an issue out of it. Roach tells his dodo heads that Obama's aim is to destroy this country. He knows better, but if he doesn't he needs to spend some time on a shrink's couch.

As for Keith Olbermann, I feel the same way about him. I just haven't been able to come up with a silly name for him. Roach and Olbermann are birds of a feather, only on different ends of the political spectrum.

As for Sheriff Dupnik's statement, he is absolutely right in his belief that some 'unbalanced people' may turn violent after listening to some of the vitriolic crap that's being spread all over the ariwaves and the internet.

Cemtiropm. I sure hope you're not one of Roach's dodo heads.

Naw...not a dodohead.

I just think that you'd have more credibility if you stopped with the childish name games. I mean....most of us stopped doing that when we left junior high school.

As for Dupnik....I just now saw and heard him say on video... "the hard right is deliberately fueling the fire against pubic officials, government, and the administration because they think it benifits them in the election process."

He also said he has no intention of enforcing the immigration law, because it is racist.

He has turned a horrific murder case into a political circus.

Personally...I can't buy into his rhetoric.
