WAS THE SHERIFF TALKING ABOUT ROACH LIMBURGER UPDATE

"When you look at unbalanced people, how they respond to the vitriol that comes out of certain mouths about tearing down the government. The anger, the hatred, the bigotry that goes on in this country is getting to be outrageous. And unfortunately, Arizona I think has become sort of the capital. We have become the mecca for prejudice and bigotry."

Shortly after Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik made that statement, the internet was bombarded with personal attacks against the sheriff for being a Democrat, for declaring that he would refuse to enforce Arizona’s controversial new immigration law, and for suggesting that Jared Lee Loughner, the shooter of ‘Gabby’ Giffords and nineteen others, might not have acted alone.

Roach Limburger also belittled Dupnik. And he took the ‘liberal media’ to task for spreading the premise that vitriolic anti-government rhetoric was to blame for the Tucson shooting. Of course, Roach’s dodo heads called his show to express their agreement with the pompous ass. His buddy Glen Beck, both on TV and the radio, echoed Roach’s views.

When I first posted Dupnik’s statement, I was fully aware of the Pima County sheriff's party affiliation and his declaration that he would not enforce Arizona's new immigration law. And I can't fault him for looking into the possibility that the shooter was not acting alone because that is just good investigative thinking.

While I don't believe that Arizona is the mecca for prejudice and bigotry as Dupnik stated, the rest of his statement does ring true to me.

So Howie...where is the good Sheriff, where is the liberal media, and where are you when the liberal media hounds Palin and the Teaparty?

Where was everybody when the movie "Death Of A President", featuring the graphic assination of George W. Bush, when that movie came out five years ago.

It was all good then.

And why the statement about not faulting him for thinking there was another killer involved? Has anyone dumped on him for that? Who gives a shit?

It's the hypocracy of the left that has conservatives angry over this. It's the double standard.

Meanwhile...it has not been shown that any of the conservative talk shows you all love to vilify have had any influence on the killer at all.

To the contrary...the killer was a disturbed drug using loner, read Karl Marx, Mien Kompf, and an appears to be an athiest. These are traits more associated with progressive liberals than conservative talk show hosts.

Centurion, if you want to know where I was when ........ etc. Well I was unloading on them just as I've been unloading on Roach.

And for your inormation, I saw over a dozen conservative blogs that trashed Sheriff Dupnik for saying there might be a second suspect out there. So a lot of people out there did give a shit.

There is nothing wrong with expressing opposing viewpoints. That's one of the things that makes our country great. But it's the way some people express themselves that is the problem.

There is a lot of hatred and anxiety in this country right now.

I just don't think banning certain kinds of speech is the solution.
