GOOD RIDDANCE: OUR GAIN IS AUSTRALIA'S LOSS

I sincerely hope the Aussies give this basket case the asylum he seeks. Forced abortions and sterilizations? Persecution of Christians? This is what comes from falling for all those bogus and malicious anti-Obama e-mails that have been inundating the internet ever since the President took office.

I have a message for Immigration Minister Chris Bowen: Please Sir, don’t send this kook back to the USA!

AMERICAN WILL BEG IMMIGRATION MINISTER TO STAY IN AUSTRALIA
AN American who says President Barack Obama has ruined the US economy and persecutes Christians will plead directly to Immigration Minister Chris Bowen for asylum

The Californian man fled America with his Australian wife two years ago after losing their house in the global financial crisis.

The man lodged a claim for a protection visa claiming the Obama administration was considering forced abortions and sterilizations to cut government spending.

"Obama's healthcare bill will impose large taxes on citizens, and cannot possibly give everyone healthcare as promised," he claimed in his application for asylum.

"If these bureaucrats decide that it is too expensive, or the patient is beyond repair, the doctors will face a $5000 fine for treating any patient and up to five years in jail.

"It has also been reported that the Obama administration is considering forced abortion and sterilization of those people they choose, for population control."

He said America's real unemployment rate was 22 per cent, parts of the US were bankrupt and he faced homelessness if he was kicked out of Australia.

The man, who is now based in Brisbane, also claims he faces persecution in the US as a Christian.

"A pastor was beaten and jailed by police for mentioning the name of Jesus Christ in a northern California mall," he said.

"Another pastor in Arizona on his way to a church meeting was stopped without cause, Tasered and beaten, even though the police officers knew exactly who he was.

"Another Christian family from New Jersey had their five children removed from their home because they chose to home-school them with Christian values.

"Another woman lost custody of her 10-year-old daughter, who was also home schooled, because the daughter was 'too Christian'.

"There are so many of these violations against Christian families in America, but it would be difficult to list them all. I worry that my family, as a Christian family with strong values, will be persecuted as a result of the government's stance towards religion."

The man, who uses a wheelchair and suffers muscular dystrophy, had his initial asylum application rejected after it was found he was not at risk of persecution.

But the Refugee Review Tribunal said it had concerns the man would be separated from his family and said he was entitled to appeal directly to the minister for a review.

"The tribunal notes that although it has not referred this matter to the department to be brought to the attention of the minister, it is open to the applicant and the representative to consider making a request under s.417 and providing any additional information considered relevant to such a request."
