In the light of the terrorist attack in Nice, France today (07-14) the Democrat-Socialist party has announced a new plank in their platform that calls for truck control.
No person would be able to own or possess a truck with an unladen weight of greater than 8,000 pounds. Any vehicle combination of any kind would be required to have a transponder on it linked to the throttle control. Once the vehicle leaves a controlled access road (freeway) its maximum speed would be 5 mph, so that people could easily run out of the way if the driver tries to run them down deliberately. You would not be able to buy more than one truck per month and the truck would not be able to carry more than 25 gallons of fuel.
If you are enough of a fucking moron to think that “gun control” is really about guns and public safety this proposal, which is (so far) completely fictional, should appeal to you.
EDITOR’S NOTE: The Republicans expressed their opposition to truck-controls by saying, trucks don’t kill people, people kill people.
