For Trumpites the president can do no wrong, but never in our history has there been this much turmoil around the presidency
The Trump presidency has been chaotic to say the least, but never in our history has there been this much turmoil around the White House. Cabinet members and White House staff members have resigned or been fired, and some of those fired found out about it through Trump’s never-ending tweets.
According to the Daily Mail, former NJ Gov. Chris Christie compares Trump to a stubborn, old '72-year-old relative' who is always convinced he's right and no amount of persuasion will convince him to change his mind. I think Chris has got it exactly right. I know the older one gets, myself included, the more stubborn one gets.
The latest fuck-up occurred when Trump caved into a request by Turkey’s Islamic president Recep Tayyip Erdogan to pull our troops out of Syria on a questionable claim that ISIS has been defeated. Trump’s announcement blindsided the generals at the Pentagon, all of whom opposed the withdrawal. It led to the resignation of Defense Secretary James Mattis, effective February 29. But because Mattis’ letter of resignation was critical of Trump, the president fired him effective at the end of this year.
President Dummkopf apparently doesn’t realize Erdogan had an ulterior motive for wanting our troops out of Syria. The Kurds have been our closest allies against ISIS, bearing the brunt of the fighting against the Islamic caliphate in both Iraq and Syria. Our withdrawal will free Erdogan’s army to resume its slaughter of the Kurds, including Kurdish women and children, who are hated with a purple passion by the Turks.
Then there is the wall controversy. Trump insists on Congress giving him $5 billion for a border wall that he promised Mexico would pay for. Of course, Mexico ain’t a gonna do no such thing. And according to the Dalla Morning News, $5 billion will pay for only 215 miles of border wall along a border that’s 2,000 miles long.
Because the Democrats in Congress will not vote to appropriate the money for his wall, Trump has shut down part of the government, thereby pissing off 800,000 government employees who are going to remember what Dummkopf did to them right at Christmas-time come 2020 election day. And so will the 54 percent of Americans who oppose construction of the wall.
Americans may not have to wait until 2020 to see Trump gone. Dummkopf is facing at least 17 investigations by Special Counsel Robert Mueller. There is a good chance that Donald Jr. and son-in-law Jared Kushner may be indicted. That could cause Trump to resign. And his affair with porn star Stormy Daniels is not going away and could lead to an indictment of the president himself.
Even if Trump makes it to 2020, he can’t win with the support of you Trumpites alone. Although for you Trump can do no wrong and you love his ‘tell ’em like it is’ tweets, you make up only 35 percent of the voters. Dummkopf has done nothing to attract moderate voters and by now some of the Trumpites may have abandoned ship. His only saving grace would be for the Democrats to nominate some far-out lefty like Kamala Harris.
I know you Trumpites are going to excoriate me for what I have just said. But there was a reason I held my nose and kept a puke bag handy when in 2018 I voted against the Hildebeast.
And now, since it’s that joyous time of the year, I want to wish you Trumpites and my other readers a Merry Christmas to all and may 2019 be a happy and healthy year for you and your loved ones.

To my friends and fellow bloggers,
Several of us read and enjoy BGB's blogs daily. For me, Christmas is not the time for debate. I have posted a video on www.runningcode3.net in reference to our overseas military during Christmas. I hope you take time to watch it.
This time of year I remember my parents and other loved ones who I miss dearly. I will enjoy family and embrace my children and grandchildren. So I am turning my full attention to them and hope you find peace and solace with your loved ones. I wish you all a Merry Christmas, Peace on Earth and Goodwill.
I will not be posting until January 1st.
Trey
