I know that a year ago much the same was said of Greece. However, when push came to shove, the E.U. in general and Germany in particular bailed them out and propped them up. I guess life is not wonderful in Greece right now, especially if you are a government employee about to retire, but neither is life dire. Not so in Venezuela.
People wipe their butts with currency, as the money is worthless. Mobs of ordinary citizens are looting food truck because they have no food and no way to get food. People get dangerous when they are desperate. They are desperate in Venezuela.
Perhaps Bernie Sanders, Mayor DeBlasio and Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez should go down there and tell them how wonderful socialism is.
