Tim Scott added his name to the lengthy list of
Republicans who could not get any traction over the weekend. It is
clear that, unless he gets run over by a beer truck or something else
equally unlikely happens that Donald J. Trump will be the standard
bearer in 2024 for the GOP. That also, IMHO, makes it even more likely
that Senile Joe will be the figurehead for the Democrat-Socialists as he
can say (and has said) that he beat Trump once and can do it again.
Hell, he might even believe it.
We
are now at the point that there is no meaningful possibility of a
serious formalized Democrat-Socialist challenger thru the primary
system. Unless Senile Joe strokes out or bows out (meaning is pressured
to bow out) it's going to be Joe and Donnie next year.
I
still think that the Dems best bet would be if they can convince
Michelle Obama to accept a draft at the convention. She has said that
she does not want to be president. I don't believe her. I DO believe
she does not want to RUN for president. That stratagem would allow her
to be a very effective (probably) candidate with minimal personal
bullshit. Unfortunately for the Dems I believe that Joe has drunk the
Kool-Aid and, if he is semi-vertical and capable of moving under his own
power to some degree he is going to go for the gold again. That would,
however, be good for the country as I truly do not believe that Joe can
pull it off again. He did the "hide in the bunker" thing successfully
due to the unique situation caused by the plague. It isn't there any
more. He will HAVE to get out or he will have no hope of winning.
Damn, isn't politics wonderful?
