Bodies recovered at the scene of Suksuk's bloody wedding party in north-east Thailand

On Saturday Chaturong Suksuk, 29, a former Marine and current parathlete, murdered his 44-year old bride, Kanchana Pachunthuek, in the middle of the wedding party.  The couple had been shacking up for several years before they decided to tie the knot.  After shooting his bride and three other people he killed himself.

Somewhat prior to the incident the Thai government decided to stop the issuance of weapons permits in the country for an unspecified period of time.  Suksuk was in legal possession of the weapon and ammunition, which he had owned for about a year.

Suksuk lost a leg in an accident some time back.  He won a silver in swimming in the Asian Para Games last year.
