It is being speculated in the media that Trump will issue an executive order to kill the Department of Education later today.
Pretty
much everybody agrees that the president can not actually totally
dismantle the agency without the approval of congress. He can, however,
pretty well gut it into ineffectiveness. Not that it is particularly
effective right now.
