Marjorie Taylor Greene's town hall meeting erupted into chaos on Tuesday evening with protestors tasered and booted from the event.

The controversial Georgia representative met with constituents in her home state on Tuesday night, despite advice from House GOP leaders to reconsider such events.

At least two protestors were reportedly tased, with six in total removed from the  Acworth Community Center.

It is understood that three people have been charged relating to the disruption.

Extraordinary pictures and video of the altercation shows one of the protestors appearing to lunge for an officer as he resisted arrest.

One protestor held up a sign alluding to claims that Greene improperly profited from buying stocks when Trump partially paused global tariffs last week.

'Jail 4 insider traders,' it read.

Greene hit out at the demonstrators after they were removed, noting: 'This is a town hall; this is not a political rally. This is not a protest.'

She repeatedly said 'bye' to protestors as they were escorted from the room and praised officers' response.

Outside, more than 100 demonstrators lined the street, and Greene said that was where they belonged - not inside the event.

In questions from reporters afterward, Greene did not specifically deny having advance knowledge of the pause but repeated that a financial adviser manages her stock holdings without input from her.

'He did a great job. He bought the dip,' Greene said. 'And that's what anybody with any financial sense does when they know the market is going to be going down.'

Disclosures show Greene bought between $21,000 and $315,000 in stock before Trump announced the tariff reversal, which coincides with the president posting to social media: 'THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO BUY!'

In the two days following Trump's 'Liberation Day' tariff announcement, Wall Street had its worst wipeout in history - losing $6.6 trillion off the value of US stocks.

When markets closed in New York at 4pm on Friday, April 4,, the S&P 500 was down 5.97 percent. The Nasdaq plummeted 5.82 percent and The Dow Jones 5.5 percent.

Greene's stock buys included Apple - up five percent since the tariffs were paused - Devon Energy Corporation and Merck & Company pharmaceuticals.

Other recent investments include Palantir - up 19 percent since the pause - and Advanced Micro Devices - up 21 percent.

On March 16, March 19 and March 24, Greene spent $100,000 to $250,000 per transaction on T-Bills, which are short-term debt obligations that are considered low risk, so they may bring in lower returns than other kinds of investments.

Her finance moves have sparked outrage and questions about whether she was aware that Trump was going to reverse the tariffs, which would undoubtedly have caused the market to steady and rebound.

Acworth Police Sgt. Eric Mistretta said he did not yet have the names of the people arrested or the charges filed against them after the meeting.

He said he believed officers responded with appropriate force to people who yelled at Greene and then resisted removal, although none approached her.

About 30 officers provided security for the event, including Cobb County police and sheriff's deputies, Mistretta said.

During her address, Greene vowed to 'stand by my president' and 'fight for his agenda with everything I have in Congress.'

Republican congressional leaders have advised their members not to hold town hall meetings after an onslaught of protests.

Trump even weighed in, alleging 'paid troublemakers are filling the GOP town halls.'

Answering multiple questions on tariffs, Greene argued that the 'real economy' is thriving under Trump and that people shouldn't worry about turmoil in the stock and bond markets.

Greene flatly denied the economic consensus that tariffs will lead to higher prices.

'The reality is tariffs are not a massive tax on the American people,' Greene said.

'The tax on the American people that you've been suffering with is the inflation that Biden and the Democrats put on the American people and their absolute reckless spending for the past four years.'
