FREE SPEECH DOES NOT INCLUDE THE FREEDOM TO INTERFERE WITH THE RIGHTS OF OTHERS

Led by retired California Supreme Court Justice Cruz Reynoso, a University of California task force on last November's UC-Davis pepper-spraying incident, has released a report that is highly critical of the actions taken by campus police against the ‘Occupy’ movement protesters.

Mark Yudof, head of the 10-campus University of California system, sees the ‘Occupy’ movement and all other protesters from a warped free speech viewpoint.

Yudof said: "Free speech, including nonviolent protest, is part of the DNA of this university, and it must be protected with vigilance," Yudof said in a statement. "I implore students who wish to demonstrate to do so in a peaceful fashion, and I expect campus authorities to honor that right."

Yudof and other educated idiots in academia seem to think it is alright for demonstrators to interfere with the rights of others to move about freely and that it is alright to block access to buildings and offices so long as those demonstrations are ‘peaceful’.

The signers of The Bill of Rights - John Adams, Vice President of the United States, Frederick A. Muhlenberg, Speaker of the House of Representatives, John Buckley, Clerk of the House of Representatives, Sam. A. Otis, Secretary of the Senate - must be turning over in their graves. Never in their wildest dreams did they imagine that by guaranteeing free speech, they were giving protesters the freedom to interfere with the rights of others.

Obviously free speech engaged in my conservatives does not have the right to infringe on the speech of others. However, the free speech of liberals is free to stomp all over the rights of others. It's self-evident.
