NO OUTRAGE IN 2007, NO PROTESTS IN THE STREETS, NO SHARPTON ANYWHERE IN SIGHT

Suppose four white men and one white woman in Tennessee had done this to a young black couple:

They carjacked and kidnapped the young man and his girlfriend. Then they repeatedly sodomized him with an object and cut off his penis. Finally they shot him in the back of the head, the neck, and the back before setting his body on fire. They forced his girlfriend to watch all of this. Then they gang raped her for four days, taking turns urinating on her. They beat her in the head, cut off her breasts and poured chemicals down her throat and over her body. Finally she was hog-tied with curtains and strips of bedding, her face covered tightly with a small trash bag and placed inside a large trash can wherein she died slowly, suffocating to death.

What would have been the reaction of the black community? How long would it have taken Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson to arrive in Tennessee to lead massive protests and to dominate the funerals for the victims? Only one New York minute! The outrage would have been covered and fueled by the nationwide media for weeks to come.

Well, that is exactly what happened to a young man and his girlfriend on January 7, 2007. The only difference was that the victims were white and the perpetrators were black. It happened to Channon Gail Christian, 21, and Hugh Christopher Newsom, Jr., 23, a couple from Knoxville.

Unlike in the Tawana Brawley hoax, the phony Duke rape case and the Trayvon Martin shooting, there was no outrage and the streets were not filled with thousands of protesters. There was no nationwide sensationalized media coverage. There was not a peep out of those two race mongering charlatans, Sharpton and Jackson and they were nowhere in sight. That must have been because Channon and Hugh were just a young white couple who were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
