FOR THOSE WHO THINK THERE IS NO WAR ON COPS, THINK AGAIN!

Off-duty Los Angeles sheriff's detective stabbed in Jack In The Box parking lot

A man was arrested Monday after he walked up to a Los Angeles County sheriff's detective outside a fast food restaurant, asked him if he was a law enforcement officer and then stabbed him in the chest, investigators said.

The detective was walking out of a Jack in the Box restaurant in the city of Santa Clarita north of Los Angeles around 10 a.m. when he was approached by a man who asked him if he was a sheriff's deputy, said Capt. Darren Harris, a sheriff's department spokesman. When the detective said yes, the man immediately stabbed him in the chest with a large kitchen knife and then ran off, he said.

The 26-year veteran detective, who investigates sex crimes, was able to make his way back to his car and called for help, Harris said. The knife was found near the scene, authorities said.

After a two-hour manhunt, deputies found Donald Chinchilla, 21, hiding in the backyard of a home a few blocks from the restaurant.

He was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, Harris said. A telephone number for Chinchilla could not immediately be located in public records.

The detective, who was not identified, was taken to a hospital in good condition and is expected to survive, authorities said.

For those who think there is no war on unarmed citizens, think again. How about the Bexar county sheriff deputies murdering an unarmed six year old..while firing at an unarmed suspect that also died.

Anonymous 1:55PM, The difference is the Bexar County Deputies didn't intentionally target the 6 year old boy. The Detective that was stabbed in California was targeted.

Life is hard enough without being stupid.

Yo anonymous, that was a pretty clear but unfortunate accident. The kid was behind a wall inside a nearby trailer home. Not real bullet resistant. Cop couldn't have shot him on purpose if he tried. Kid is still dead but it sure as hell wasn't deliberate. There is simply no moral equivalence there.

Hmmm..what about the other unarmed suspect that they couldn't find a gun that they murdered? I guess that was an unfortunate accident too? If they had not shot an unarmed suspect then they wouldn't have murdered the six year old. Your guys are sick in the head. I can almost hear you saying "oops" about a little boy dying.

BGB, You got it wrong on Anon 4:06. He's not a piece of shit, he is the entire turd!

Dear Anon 406. You don't get it. Cops have to be reasonable in their actions. There is no moral or legal requirement that they be 100% right 100% of the time and yes, shit happens. The bad guys do NOT get to shoot first. If they did there would be a lot more dead good guys and a lot more dead cops too. If I person does something grotesquely stupid or inappropriate in the presence of an armed cop in a high-stress situation bad things can happen to people. That includes the cops too. You might find it hard to believe but cops, generally speaking, do not go out in the morning saying to themselves "Damn, I hope I get to shoot an unarmed suspect to death today." You need to slow down, take a deep breath and get your head out of your ass.

Actually I have known several cops over the years that actually said they really wanedto use their firearms..
And two others that bragged about shooting someone with no remorse..to them it was like shooting a deer. I can sense the same kind of attitude from the posters on here...a human life has very little worth..except for yours and other trigger happy cops. So that is just a small sample from cops that I have personally known...but I am sure it is a big trend overall. If the cops had not been trigger happy a little boy would be alive and the really sad thing is there is no empathy from anyone else on this board about the loss of a young life...just a bunch of old cops taking up for some trigger happy cops that murdered an innocent boy. Say what you will...but the only people you will convince are just a bunch or trigger happy fools just like you. Be sure to polish your swastikas and give your guns a hug and kiss tonight.

Anon 406,

Wow. I have been in law enforcement for over 40 years. Patrol, CID, and Management. I can tell you I have never heard cops talk to each other like you describe. I once pulled up on a shooting scene and the cop who had to shoot an armed man said, "I hear someone's Mother crying." He retired and became a Minister.

Are you sure you weren't listening to crooked Mexican cops in Tijuana?

Anyway, BGB gets excited when the aroma of Bullshit wafts in his direction. I think you might be pulling somebodies leg.

Anon 2:28, I have serious doubts that you are telling the truth about the cops you claim to have known.

Your "murdered an innocent boy" crack is just plain sickening. It is obvious you are completely ignorant concerning the meaning of murder. Murder is the intentional unlawful killing of one human being by another. In this case there was no intent to kill that child. As a matter of fact, the child was never seen by the cops because he was on the other side of a wall.

I suggest you return to the asylum which must have recently released you.
