About nine days ago a woman was mauled to death by a pack of six large feral dogs in Modesto. Two days ago city and county authorities hunted down and captured the pack, consisting of German Shepherd mix and Rottweiler mix dogs. They also seized a litter of fairly new puppies. The adult dogs were be put down.
About one person a week is killed by dog attack in the United States.
