Acting at the behest of the Alabama DOC over 300 assorted cops did a pre-dawn sweep of the Bibb County Correctional Facility.
The prison, which houses 1,800 guests of the state resulted in the recovery of 37 weapons as well as drugs and cell phones. This is part of an ongoing program of the DOC to cut down on contraband in their facilities.
