Gavin Newsom challenges DeSantis to a debate over 'illegal' Martha's Vineyard migrant flights - while Florida governor promises to ship even MORE illegal immigrants to Dem-led jurisdictions in the coming days

Gavin Newsom challenges DeSantis to a DEBATE over 'illegal' Martha's Vineyard migrant

Earlier this week, DeSantis (right) mimicked his Texas and Arizona counterparts in sending over groups of migrants to Democrat-led cities up north (top inset) in protest of the Biden Administration's border policies. Gavin Newsom (left) and other Democratic leaders have slammed the move as playing with people's lives, with the California governor challenging DeSantis to a debate ahead of the midterm elections. 'Hey @GovRonDeSantis, clearly you're struggling, distracted, and busy playing politics with people's lives,' Newsom tweeted on Friday (bottom inset). 'Since you have only one overriding need - attention - let's take this up & debate,' Newsom said in response to a tweet from Dan Rather asking CNN to set up a debate between the two governors. Newsom's challenge comes as DeSantis continued to defend flying the migrants over to Martha's Vineyard and said his state has a $12 million budget ready to relocate more immigrants.

Rules for thee but not for me! Outrage as it’s revealed Dem-led El Paso is moving illegal migrants to NYC by bus, after White House slammed GOP governors who did the same

Migrants, mostly from Venezuela, queue to board a bus to New York at the Migrant Welcome Center managed by the city of El Paso and the Office of Emergency Management, in El Paso                  Migrants in El Paso queue to board a bus to New York

Despite the White House fury that GOP governors face for sending migrants to sanctuary cities, El Paso's Democrat-led city government has been doing the same for weeks -- and is asking for the Biden administration to pay for it. Led by Mayor Oscar Leeser, a Democrat, the Texas border city has dispatched at least 28 charter buses filled with migrants to New York City since August 23, at a cost of more than $600,000, KFOX-TV reported this week.  City officials say that they expect the buses to be paid for by Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), as part of a quarterly reimbursement process covering emergency food and shelter for migrants.

Virginia's GOP Gov. Glenn Youngkin REVERSES woke school policies of his Dem predecessor: Trans students must use bathroom matching birth certificate and teachers can't be forced to use alternative pronouns

Virginia's new GOP governor REVERSES predecessor's woke school policies on trans students

Virginia's recently-elected Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin will ban transgender students from using bathrooms that don't match their birth certificates, and stop teachers from having to use children's alternative pronouns. The Republican, who replaced Democrat predecessor Ralph Northam (right) in a surprise win last November, is now reversing many of the woke policies enacted by Northam. The new model for schools was released by the Department of Education on Friday with the emphasis that 'parents have the right to make decisions with respect to their children' and the government can't 'require individuals to adhere to or adopt any particular ideological beliefs.' Transgender students must show official paperwork confirming their gender has been changed if they wish to access facilities which correspond to their gender identity. And teachers cannot be forced to address students by an alternative pronoun, after Youngkin's office ruled that doing so would violate their First Amendment rights. The rules will come into effect by the end of September, after a 'commentary period.'

AOC accuses DeSantis and Abbott of 'crimes against humanity' for migrant stunts

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (main) has slammed the GOP governors who sent groups of migrants to Martha's Vineyard and Washington DC as guilty of 'crimes against humanity'.  Without naming them directly, the progressive New York Democrat excoriated Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Texas Governor Greg Abbott in a series of tweets on Friday.   'It's appalling that far-right politicians seem to have decided that fall before an election is their regularly scheduled time to commit crimes against humanity on refugees,' she wrote.

Bill Maher warns woke schools' critical race theory lessons and insistence on keeping students' 'sex changes' secret from parents is driving liberal voters to Trump

The Real Time host, 66, said he has friends who 'don't like it when they come home and say they divided the class today into oppressors and oppressed.' Maher went on: 'And if I change my sex I don't have to tell my parents. There's s*** like that going on that makes people go, you know, I agree Donald Trump is a creep. He is everything wrong that could be stuffed into one man, but I have these other considerations, that's all. 'That's why, you know, you seem like you have such contempt for half the country. I don't think that's going to get us where we need to go.

More than 28,000 prisoners including murderers, rapists and thugs - one in 20 of Russia's entire jail population - have been freed to fight in Ukraine

More than 28,000 Russian prisoners including murderers and rapists are freed to fight in

More than 28,000 prisoners including murderers, rapists and those guilty of grievous bodily harm have been freed from jails to fight for Vladimir Putin in his war in Ukraine, it is claimed. The scheme has so far led to the release of more than five percent of the entire male jail population in Russia as the Kremlin steps up recruitment of inmates after suffering a humiliating defeat against Ukraine 's army in the east of the country. The astonishing figure - revealed by independent Volya Telegram channel - is far higher than previous estimates of released prisoners fighting for Russia in Ukraine. Yevgeny Prigozhin, (main left) the man known as 'Putin's 'chef', (pictured bottom right with Putin) was filmed earlier this week offering a pardon to violent criminals and sex offenders (top right) -  if they could survive fighting in Ukraine for six months. A new video this week showed 400 prisoner-volunteers in a dozen prison vans on their way to basic training. Most inmates are given just perfunctory training before being sent into battle on the front lines as assault troops, where survival rates are shiveringly low.
