Regular readers will remember I have written a few times recently about some apparent shenanigans and some definite incompetence within the Stockton Unified School System.  The higher-ups are being looked at for general stupidity by the state of California and some maybe criminal activity by other agencies.  Much of these issues involve contracts and change orders.

The current Facilities Director, Armando Orozco, is threatening to sue the district if they done give him $800,000 to "voluntarily" leave his job.  The board considered his request-demand at a closed session three days ago.  No action has been taken, or at least announced.

Orozco has asserted that "...my wife and three children still at home are in fear of their lives."  He has also asserted the situation might be different if he were a "White privileged male" and that the district has committed "horrifying acts of terrorism" against him and his family.

Orozco was hired slightly more than one year ago at a salary of $145, 174 per year.

Besides the federal criminal investigation Orozco has been on the wrong end of a no-confidence vote by people in his chain of command  and an unfair labor practices complaint.
