Andre Stephon-Curtis Broadenax,
29, is up for nomination for the Detroit father of the year. On April
30 he decided to take his 11-year-old daughter along with him to work. His work is
home invasion robberies with a little bit of auto theft thrown in.
As
the home robbery was under way (with a 75-year old victim) the victim's
son arrived unexpectedly and Broadenax beat feet, leaving the
crumbsnatcher behind as well as the stolen car. He fled on foot and the
local constabulary quickly caught him.
He
is currently a guest of the people pending a $150,000 bail. Assuming
he makes bail he would be placed on house arrest with an ankle monitor.
His probable cause hearing and bail hearings are scheduled for later
this month.
