A few days ago an unusual stabbing death occurred at a
rapid transit stop in Sacramento. The stabee was a 16-year old and the
staber was an employee, variously described as a "security guard" and as
an "ambassador."
The
dead guy, Michael Ray Berry, 16, had been vaping on a transit train
along with a young lady in his company. The "security guard" told them
to stop vaping on the train. They got off at the next stop. It is not
real clear right now if that was their intended stop or if the "security
guard" had to escort them off the train.
Some
sort of a fight developed between the employee and Berry. The young
lady then jumped into the fracas. The employee stabbed Berry, in self
defense. The rapid transit district has said that the employee
(referring to him as an "ambassador") was not authorized to carry a
knife on duty. Their primary training is apparently in deescalation and
customer service.
The employee was briefly detained but has not been arrested. The District Attorney is investigating.

Is that guy looking for a job? The Alamo is hiring Alamo Rangers and they not only carry a firearm but they can also carry a knife. Jim Bowie would be proud. "Semper Pro Texana".
