A
Marion County, Florida Sheriff's Deputy came perilously close to having
his brains splattered all of the inside of his patrol car because he
did a pis poor job of searching a female suspect.
At
about 0100 on Monday morning June 23 Rheanna Harden was arrested for
driving on a suspended license and drug possession. She was in route to
the county slammer when she pulled a gat out of her pants and fired
several shots at the back of the deputy's head. He was grazed and the
patrol car crashed into a light pole.
The
deputy then bailed out and opened fire on the woman, who was still
cuffed in the back seat. The woman ended up in the hospital with
injuries to a shoulder and a hip. Officials are not confirming that
they were caused by gunshot wounds.
I wonder if she had been cuffed in front of managed to wiggle thru her cuffs?
My
guess is that attempted murder of a peace officer is taken very
seriously still, at least in Florida. Maybe they will bill her for the
car too.
