“What does it say about the college co-ed Sandra Fluke, who goes before a congressional committee and essentially says that she must be paid to have sex, what does that make her? It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute. She wants to be paid to have sex. She’s having so much sex she can’t afford the contraception. She wants you and me and the taxpayers to pay her to have sex.”
So spoke Rush Limbaugh in response to Sandra Fluke’s remarks during an unofficial congressional hearing called by Nancy Pelosi. Fluke, a ‘reproductive rights activist’ and third year law student at Georgetown University, complained that the Catholic university’s student health plans do not include coverage of contraceptives for women. Fluke said her fellow students at Georgetown were forced to use their own money to pay up to $1,000 a year for birth control or more than $3,000 while they were in law school.
Fluke whined that she was on a ‘Public Interest scholarship’ and she was forced to spend an ‘entire summer’s salary’ on contraceptives.
My heart really bleeds for poor Sandra Fluke. She has to spend an entire summer’s salary so she can have sex while in law school. The poor girl has no choice but to use her hard earned scholarship money to pay for having sex without getting pregnant. It’s that, or do without sex! Yes, my heart really goes out to all those poor sex-starved co-eds at Catholic universities.
Seriously though, while I rarely agree with Roach Limburger’s rants, this is one of the times I have to agree with his rebuke of Fluke’s demands. But Roach, that Texas Blivot (10 pounds of shit in a 2 pound bag), blew it big time! By his intemperate rant in calling Fluke a slut and a prostitute, Roach has helped to reelect Obama to a second term as president. He has energized the women’s vote. Among independents, women are now sure to vote for Obama and even a significant number of Republican women could vote for Obama in reaction to Roach’s stupid rant.
Obama couldn’t be happier. If I were the president, I would send ole Roach a very big thank you card.
