AN INVESTIGATION PRESIDENT OBAMA SHOULD HAVE BEEIN IMMEDIATELY INFORMED ABOUT

The president was not informed for two months that his CIA director was under investigation

I don’t want to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but it sure looks like there may have been an underhanded plot within the intelligence community to get rid of Gen. Petraeus.

Republican Texas Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison sounded optimistic Sunday while talking about the fiscal cliff and pessimistic when discussing the email-related security breach within the U.S. intelligence community.

Hutchison, appearing on CNN’s “State of the Union,” said she believes Congress will move forward and devise a plan to prevent big tax increases and slashes in spending.

“I believe we will come up with a way forward,” the retiring legislator told host Candy Crowley. “I think we will not have a fiscal cliff. We will have a plan, hopefully, to go forward.”

Hutchison described herself as “very worried” about the developments surrounding CIA Director David Petraeus’ resignation following Petraeus’ revelation of an affair with his biographer.

The senator’s question: Why wasn’t the president told about the investigation of the affair until two months later?

“If anybody is investigating the director of the CIA, the president of the United States should know immediately,” Hutchison said, adding she has “great concerns about the legitimacy” of the investigation.

“A general who is very high in our military and the CIA director, to all of a sudden have this kind of upheaval . . . when it appears that the president didn’t know until two months later . . . I’m hinting at something out of control and not with the proper authority,” she said.
