THE MOST ANTI-ISRAEL PRESIDENT EVER CONTEMPLATES PROMOTING SUSAN RICE, WHO HAS A LONG HISTORY OF HOSTILITY TOWARD ISRAEL, TO SECRETARY OF STATE

Hillary Clinton has told President Obama that she intends to leave her post as Secretary of State. Obama has been considering appointing U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice to take Clinton’s place. Senators John McCain and Lindsay Graham have announced that they would block Rice’s promotion because, five days after the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, she lied when she went on TV to state that the attack was a "spontaneous reaction" to a video defaming the Prophet Muhammad, and not a planned terrorist attack.

Susan Rice has had a long history of hostility toward the State of Israel. As Secretary of State she would be a matched set with her boss, the most anti-Israel president ever.

On Wednesday, during his first press conference since the election, Obama defended Rice and attacked McCain and Graham. Here is what the president said:

__"If Sen. McCain and Sen. Graham and others want to go after somebody, they should go after me. And I'm happy to have that discussion with them. But for them to go after the U.N. ambassador? Who had nothing to do with Benghazi? And was simply making a presentation based on intelligence that she had received? To besmirch her reputation is outrageous."

__"When they go after the U.N. ambassador apparently because they think she's an easy target, then they've got a problem with me."

McCain did not back down and retorted by saying:

__“Susan Rice should have known better, and if she didn’t know better, she’s not qualified. She should have known better. I will do everything in my power to block her from becoming Secretary of State. She has proven that she either doesn’t understand or she is unwilling to accept evidence on its face. [...] She went out and told the American people something that was patently false and defied common sense.”

And Graham fired back at Obama by saying:

__"Mr. President, don't think for one minute I don't hold you ultimately responsible for Benghazi. I think you failed as commander in chief before, during and after the attack. We owe it to the American people and the victims of this attack to have full, fair hearings and accountability be assigned where appropriate. Given what I know now, I have no intention of promoting anyone who is up to their eyeballs in the Benghazi debacle."

News outlets are reporting today that the EU just officially fell into recession, and Israel is calling up reservists. The world just got a lot more "interesting."

Ya Bob. but I think I like the world a lot better when it's a little more "uninteresting."
