How low can an institution of higher education sink? A Mickey Mouse college that lets students design their own curriculums and gives no tests or grades, has selected Mumia Abu-Jamal, the cold blooded murderer of a Philadelphia cop, as a commencement speaker.
Arts degree students at Goddard College, a liberal arts college in Plainfield, Vermont, chose Abu-Jamal as their commencement speaker. The notorious cop killer received a degree from Goddard in 1996.
A recording of his speech will be played and a video glorifying Abu-Jamal will be shown.
Bob Kenny, the school's interim president, defended the selection of Abu-Jamal with the following statement:
“The graduates' selection of Abu-Jamal reflects their freedom to engage and think radically and critically in a world that often sets up barriers to do just that."
Here is my reaction to Kerry’s statement: What a supreme crock of shit! He and the students at his Mickey Mouse college ought to be ashamed of themselves.
As for Abu-Jamal’s degree from Goddard College … since the sorry piece of shit was able to design his own curriculum and did not have to take any tests, it’s no wonder he was able to get a degree.
