A 15-year old student in San Diego may have managed a suicide by cop Saturday, or he may have just been really, really stupid. It's hard to say.
It was found out later that he himself called 911 and asked the cops to do a welfare check on an "unarmed boy" standing in front of the high school. When the cops showed up he turned towards them and pulled a gun, pointing it at the cops. They cops ventilated him. He died. It turned out to be a fairly realistic BB gun.
Neither the cops nor the school have named the dead guy.
