MARION COUNTY, Florida -- It's a case that involves a little bit of everything weird Florida crime-related: a crash, a sheriff's deputy, vehicle damages and public nudity.

A Marion County Sheriff's deputy arrested 18-year-old Andrew Humphries after he was found walking along the highway naked Wednesday, according to a Facebook post from the sheriff's office.

Deputies were called to assist with a vehicle crash in the area of Southeast 81st Street and South U.S. Highway 441 around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday. They learned that the driver of one of the vehicles -- later identified as Humphries -- had left the scene, according to the post.

One deputy found Humphries walking completely naked in the 8900 block of South Highway 441.

When the deputy got out of his patrol vehicle to speak with Humphries, the naked 18-year-old tried to open the deputy's driver-side door. Humphries was handcuffed and put in the backseat due to his erratic behavior, according to the sheriff's office.

Officials said he kicked the rear passenger door and pulled on the metal cage. Deputies believe the door will need to be replaced now, and estimate about $1,000 worth of damage to the patrol vehicle.

Humphries was then taken to the Marion County Jail, but the damage reports don't end there.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers who were investigating the crash Humphries was involved in called the deputy and said Humphries damaged yet another vehicle.

Before he left the crash, a witness reported that Humphries also walked up to a vehicle parked at the Marion County Sheriff's office Multi-District Office and tried to open the door. He allegedly pulled so hard, the handle fell off the vehicle. Humphries also allegedly urinated on the vehicle when he couldn't get inside.

The vehicle? It belonged to another deputy, who estimated the damage to be about $700.

Florida Highway Patrol is doing a separate investigation into the crash Humphries was involved in, according to the sheriff's office.

Humphries was charged with one count of felony criminal mischief with property damage of $1,000 or more and one count of misdemeanor criminal mischief.
