Yes, it is now NOT a violation of law for an able-bodied adult to refuse a police officer's request for assistance. Governor Newsom signed the bill yesterday. Just thought you would like to know.
It has something to do with the fugitive slave act, but since CA was never a slave state I am a little unclear on the connection.

Just part of the anti police movement. Newsom is so far to the extreme left he makes moonbeam look sane.
Actually Moonbeam WAS sane, on alternate Tuesdays and Thursdays.
