Chief Sacked After No-Confidence Vote

Allwyn Brown used to be the Chief of Police of the Richmond, CA police department. Maybe he still is, but.....
About a year ago a consulting group did a report for the city on their police department. That report concluded that the morale was in the toilet and that there was an overall "toxic" work environment with the police department.
On Thursday of last week the union rank-and-file of the PD voted an overwhelming NO CONFIDENCE in Chief Brown. On Friday the city manager announced that Deputy Chief Bisa French was now the acting Chief of Police and that Chief Brown was "out." It is not clear if Chief Brown was fired, placed on paid leave, placed on unpaid leave or left of his own accord, with just a teeny tiny push.
The vote against Brown was 117-19. Three officers refused to vote.
