It seems that a lecturer at
Stanford, who has not been publically identified, decided that it would
be "instructive" to direct his Jewish students to stand in a corner of
the classroom while s/he ranted about "colonizers."
Not
strangely, the few Jewish students who are comfortable with being
confrontational objected to the administration. Surprisingly the
administration of Stanford suspended the lecturer, asserting that
academic freedom does not give you the right to treat students like
shit. He also voiced the statement that "ONLY" 6 million Jews died
during the holocaust but many, many times that died as a result of
colonization.
Interestingly
enough there has also been some backlash at Harvard. A shitload of
students and student associations signed a joint letter blaming Israel
directly for the Hamas attack. In response a number of organizations
and corporations, potential employers of Harvard graduates, announced
that they were keeping a list and that they would NOT hire raging
anti-Semites. In response some of these student organizations began to
urinate all over their own shoes.
