GM AND FORD PULLING BACK ON EV PRODUCTION
By Bob Walsh
Today both GM and Ford announced that they are pulling
back significantly on their production of EVs and ashcanning their
self-imposed EV conversion deadline. For some reason it seems that
nobody wants to buy the damn things and they are taking a HUGE bath on
the ones they do sell.
When
you combine that and the fact that the new UAW contract will cost them
about $900 additional for each car they produce under the new contract
things are going to have a huge effect on how they move forward. They
may actually have to move towards the idea of producing cars that people
actually want to buy at prices they can afford to pay, assuming the
government lets them do something that radical.
In
the meantime woke states like the People's Republic of California are
still pretending that there will be no new gas cars produced twelve
years from now and everything will be wonderful and there will be
unicorns and rainbows and free cell phones all over the landscape.
