Professor Yael Nativ
Regular readers will remember some weeks back I wrote
about a discrimination lawsuit filed by an Israeli professor against U C
Berkeley. Even though the university's own internal investigation
found that she had been illegally discriminated against the university
refused to hire her.
The
school pretty much admitted they refused to hire her to avoid pissing
off the pro-Islamic terrorist contingent at the school. This was
shortly after a congressional hearing wherein Chancellor Rich Lyons
praised a man as a "fine scholar" who openly opined that he wished he
had been able to participate in the October 7 terror attack against
Israel.
Right after the suit was actually filed the school pretty much caved.
The
school is paying Professor Nativ $60,000 plus $56,000 in legal costs.
Plus they have promised to hire her at an unspecified future date and to
issue a formal apology to her.
There
is still another generalized lawsuit proceeding against UC Berkeley for
taking no action to prevent widespread anti-Semitism on campus. That
case is moving into the discovery phase.
