While Obama has an Islamic heritage and makes his love for Muslims quite clear, he has been and remains a professed Christian. Those Americans (20 percent) who believe Obama is a Muslim are not psychopaths, as his former pastor and mentor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, calls them. ‘Ignoramuses’ is what I would call them.

President Barack Obama's controversial former pastor is referring to people who wrongly believe Obama is Muslim as "psychopaths."
The Rev. Jeremiah Wright delivered a fiery sermon Sunday at the New Millennium Church in Little Rock that largely criticized supporters of the Iraq war.
Wright also defended the church's pastor, former Arkansas Court of Appeals Judge Wendell Griffen, for speaking out against the war.
Wright's only reference to Obama came when he compared Griffen's opponents to those who incorrectly think Obama is Muslim. The president is Christian.
Wright says the enemy "will surround you with psychopaths who will criticize you ... and say 'you ain't really a Baptist' and say 'the president ain't really a Christian, he's a Muslim."

The reason many people believe he's a muslim is that most true Christians cannot understand or even recognize his brand of black liberation socialist theology. His "spiritual advisor" presented a grossly twisted version of the Gospel.
A growing number of Americans, Christian and otherwise, simply do not believe him. He says he's a Christian, but we simply just aren't seeing it.
I don't think he's a muslim though. I think he's a socialist.
