PREDICTING WHAT CRIME WILL BE COMMITTED WHERE, BY WHO AND WHEN

This would really play havoc with Kookfornia’s early prison releases and its diminished parole supervision policies.

COMPUTERIZED PREDICTION OF FUTURE CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR?

The technofreaks in D. C. now seem to sort-of honestly believe they have a computer program that can reasonably accurately predict future crimes.

Earlier incarnations of the program have been used in Baltimore and Philadelphia and were limited to prediction of murders by people on parole or probation. The latest version, being field-tested in D.C., is thought to be able to predict other crimes as well.

The theory used complex computer algorithms and predictive analytics. Some variations are tied in to surveillance systems and can predict when a crime is about to occur by the movements and actions of people being observed. (Any decent human operator can do that.)

Similar programs are being used by government agencies to monitor Twitter accounts, blogs and websites for information.
Clicking here will link to a somewhat disturbing article from Prison Planet on this subject.
