The internet has become an instrument for doing both good and evil
While the internet has become the dispensary for all kinds of knowledge, it has also become the dispensary for untruthfulness, false alarms and hatred dispensed by malicious internet vandals. In particular, the internet has been a playground for Obama-haters and the president’s resounding victory last November has not stopped them.
Here is a case in point:
A friend just sent me an article published July 6 by some outfit calling itself the ‘Western Center for Journalism.’ The article, “Russian Troops On American Soil” by Kris Zane alleges that Obama has made an agreement with the Russians that will allow Russian Special Ops troops to assist our police in providing security during disasters and at ‘mass events’ like the Boston Marathon, the Super Bowl and concerts. The article was accompanied by a professionally produced four minute video.
Zane makes his outrageous predictions because, as he put it, “On June 25, 2013 in Washington, D.C. the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry, Russia’s equivalent to FEMA, signed an agreement with FEMA to allow Russian ‘experts’ to engage in ‘monitoring and forecasting emergency situations, training of rescuers, development of mine-rescuing and provision of security at mass events.’”
Zane followed that up with, “Remember after Hurricane Katrina when [New Orleans] police were illegally confiscating citizens’ guns? Well, during the next disaster, it might not be police, but Russian soldiers nullifying your Second Amendment rights.”
Here are some more of Zane’s absurd and outrageous quotes:
“With Barack Obama’s parsing of language to do whatever he wants, your kid’s next prom or Bar Mitzvah or Sweet Sixteen party may have a few Russians mulling around.”
“This is called colluding with the enemy. This is called treason.”
“Barack Hussein Obama not only constantly tramples on the Constitution but now has become an enemy of the State. Guilty of treason. A traitor.”
Zane ends his tripe with “Impeachment must begin now. Today.”
Those who buy Zane’s pure unadulterated horseshit must still believe in the tooth fairy. He and the Western Center for Journalism have turned a cooperative agreement between FEMA and its Russian equivalent into a monstrosity that has Russian troops invited by a traitorous President Obama to come over here to trample on the constitutional rights of Americans.
Obama an enemy of the State, a traitor – you cannot get anymore untruthful and hatefully malicious than that. Zane’s crap is designed to fuel the fervor of those who hate Obama. What is so sad is that those who do not hate Obama, but are looking to find fault in the President, might actually buy this shitload of hate.
I did not vote for Obama in 2008 and 2012 and would not vote for him if he could run for a third term. While I am opposed to most of his policies, I would never take part in helping to circulate a bunch of malicious lies and distortions about our President.
‘Malicious Internet Mischief’ is what I call posts and messages like those put forth by Kris Zane, by the Western Center for Journalism, by other Obama-haters and by those who knowingly raise false alarms on any number of subject matters. And the purveyors of such tripe are nothing more than malicious internet vandals.
