VERDICT IN RECORD TIME

Unfortunately, the jury did not have a death penalty option for this sorry lump of self-propelled excrement

It took a jury less than 15 minutes to bring in a first-degree murder verdict yesterday, ending a three-week trial.

Rajesh Kumar, 42, was found guilty of beating and stabbing a neighbor, Valida Raynette Irvin, on May Day of 2011. Kumar tried the often-used but seldom successful SODDI defense (some other dude did it), which was unsuccessful again this time. The jury did not believe that a man named Michael entered Kumar's apartment, beat Kumar up, and somehow forced him to dump Irvin's body, which he admitted to doing.

This was unfortunately not prosecuted as a death penalty case, so this quasi-human will be sucking air at state expense for a long time. Damn shame!
