ZIMMERMAN DID NOT PROFILE TRAYVON MARTIN

Shellie Zimmerman, now divorcing George, has doubts about his self-defense story but insists he did not profile Martin

Shellie Zimmerman appeared on Thursday’s NBC Today Show with her attorney and was interviewed by Matt Lauer. She told Lauer that she now doubts his story that he shot Trayvon Martin in self-defense.

Shellie Zimmerman, who is divorcing her husband, is on probation after having been convicted of perjury for lying to a court about her and George being broke.

Earlier this month, she called the police to say Zimmerman had punched her father in the nose and was threatening her with a gun. She also claimed he had smashed her laptop. The responding cops briefly detained Zimmerman but found no gun. He claimed that her father attacked him and that she hit him with the laptop. When she refused to file charges against him, Zimmerman was released.

She admitted to Lauer that she never actually saw Zimmerman holding a gun. She said she saw a scary look in his eyes that she had never seen before and that his hand was inside his unbuttoned shirt. She told Lauer that as an afterthought, she now wished she had filed a complaint against George, but at the time, because she was on probation, she did not want to go to jail. She claims the cops told her that both of them would go to jail if she pressed charges.

While she told Lauer that she now doubts Zimmerman’s claim that he acted in self-defense, she did insist that he did not profile Trayvon Martin.
