A CHP officer from Lassen County and his wife, a CHP dispatcher, were arrested yesterday and a are looking at multiple felonies for fraud.
Officer Daniel Cory Clapp, an 11-year veteran of the CHP filed a workers comp claim based on a fight with an arrestee on December 27 of 2011. Both he and his wife told the comp dr. that he was unable to drive or life heavy items and that he was in significant pain.
The CHP's own internal affairs comp division has had him under surveillance off and on and was observed driving for long periods of time and cutting and carrying firewood.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Clapp joins a very long list of idiots that have been photographed while engaged in strenuous activities that belied physical disability claims.
