SUPER PRICES AT THE SUPER BOWL

Price gouging at the MetLife Stadium concession stands was capitalism at its best … or its worst

If you thought ticket prices for the Super Bowl were sky high, you should have been there and purchased food and drinks from the MetLife Stadium concession stands.

Here are the prices that hungry and thirsty Super Bowl ticket holders had to pay:

Cheesesteak 16.00

Meatball sub 13.00

Roast pork sandwich 13.00

Soft drink 6.00

Hot chocolate 11.00

Hot chocolate in a souvenir cup 20.00

Bottled beer 12.00

Can of premium beer 14.00

Wine 12.00

Bottled water 6.00

Peanuts 6.00

Cup of soup 8.00

Soup in a souvenir cup 20.00

Footlong hot dog 13.00

Sausage 14.00

Buffalo Mac & cheese 8.00

It sure looks like New Jersey's Soprano crime family muscled its way in on the concession stands. Tony Soprano may be dead, but his legacy lives on.

Now aren’t you glad you stayed home and watched the Seahawks trounce the Broncos while drinking those store-bought Buds and eating those home-grilled burgers and hot dogs.
