If all goes well there will be an actual expression of free speech in the People's Republic of Berkeley this evening. At about 7 p.m. Thursday, Ben Shapiro, an actual conservative thinker and writer, was to give a presentation before 1,000 paying ticketholders at the university. They only were allowed to sell half the ticket capacity of the venue due to "security concerns."
The university and the city P D are as of now asserting that they can deal with it. You should remember however that the city PD allowed anti-fa thugs to push past police barriers without opposition and trash buildings on the campus just because a conservative speaker HAD BEEN scheduled to appear but had been cancelled due to safety concerns.
Sept. 24 thru Sept 27 is supposed to be FREE SPEECH week on the campus. Ann Coulter, Steven Bannon and Milo Yiannopoulos are supposed to appear. (Yiannopoulos really is a bomb thrower. Coulter is merely irritating.) :Left-wing thugs argue that conservative speech is actually "hate speech" and uses this assertion to justify using force and violence as well as threats of violence to shut down conservative speakers, before the fact if possible.

As of 6 p.m. on Thursday two people have been arrested, both Anti-Fa thugs. One was a young white woman who was arrested for spitting on a cop. She apparently thought that this was a legitimate expression of free speech and was really surprised to find out otherwise. Stupid liberal snowflake shit-for-brains.
