On
this past Sunday two young men had some sort of a beef with each other
at the Parkland Mall in Lancaster, PA. One of them pulled out a gat and
started throwing lead.
At
that time a legally armed private citizen, who chose to ignore the
mall's prohibition against carrying weapons and happened to be nearby,
engaged and injured the shooter, closing down the situation before more
people could be hurt. Four people were in fact shot.
The private citizen waited at the scene until the local constabulary arrived.
I
am unsure if the mall's signs prohibiting weapons on the premises have
any force of law in Pennsylvania, but I suspect they will not be making
an issue of the matter. I would hope so in any case.

In Arizona any non felon adult may carry a concealed weapon anywhere that doesn't specifically prohibit weapons. The penalty for carrying in a specifically prohibited area is a charge of trespassing. Many of us choose to carry in these places anyway Funny thing. The number of shootings in our state is less...much less...than more restrictive states such as New York, Washington, Oregon, and California. Go figure.
