Oklahoma
has received the go-ahead from Federal Judge Stephen Friot to get the
ball rolling on five executions, the earliest of which is tentatively
scheduled for November 28. There are a total of seven scheduled for the
next six months. Oklahoma has not had an execution in six years. The
last one was for the murder of a prison canteen worker, presumably
committed by a prisoner.
