Yesterday
the greater Sacramento area got slightly more than 6 inches of rain.
That is more than they got all of last year. That is also a record
since they have been keeping records, going back to about the Civil
War. This does not signal the end of the drought, but it sure puts a
ding in it. Last week Lake Tahoe quit dumping into the Truckee River
the lake was so low, and Lake Oroville shut down their power house last
month because the lake was so low the intakes were out of the water.

I watched the live cams at Lake Tahoe. It is a snow covered wonderland.
