You may remember this one.  Six
years ago an Oberlin College student, who is Black, went into Gibson's
Baker and Deli near the college and tried to buy some booze with a bad,
fake ID.  He got called on it by the clerk.  He then tried to steal
some booze.  A fight ensued.  Two of the thieves buddies (black) jumped
in.  The cops showed up.  The thieves got arrested.  They screamed
RACISTS.
The three students claimed they were racially profiled when they were caught stealing from Gibson's Bakery. A bunch of
professional liberal assholes started picketing the bakery accusing them
of racism for not allowing Black people to steal from them.  Then (here
comes the kicker) staff from Oberlin College, not just professors but
administrative staff, came out in support of the "protesters" and
accused the owners of the bakery of racism.  The owners business was
badly damaged by the allegations, and they sued.
This
week the Ohio Supreme Court refused to hear a lower court appeal in the
matter.  Oberlin is required to pay a total of $31 million dollars in
compensatory damages and punitive damages as well as interest and legal
fees.  Oberlin has expressed unhappiness with the verdict but has said
they will pay.
