On Wednesday morning, a robber thought he had gotten away with his latest purse snatching at a Chicago transit station. So he stopped running and began to count the loot.
A witness to the robbery followed the perp and entered a police station to alert the cops. The purse snatcher was quickly arrested after a brief chase.
Apparently the purse snatcher was unaware that he had stooped just outside the police station to count his morning’s earnings.
"I guess it never dawned on him that it was a police station," said Chicago police Lt. Ken Sahnas.
